A grammatical voice where the subject performs and experiences the action. They are in the middle of it or at the centre of it. This voice occurs in Classical Arabic (using Form VIII) and Ancient Greek. The subject is not just the person who causes the action or receives the action. In English, an example of this might be, “She is combing her hair.”
